Ang PEEK inverted cone fitting ay isang two-piece compression fitting: isang ferrule at isang nut. Kapag hinigpit ang nut, ang inverted cone ay kumakapit sa labas ng tube. Dahil flat-bottom ang bore, hindi nito binabawasan ang inside diameter ng tubing, kaya walang step na makakapag-trap ng sample o makakapigil sa daloy.
PEEK o ETFE?
PEEK para sa mas mataas na temperatura at mechanical strength hanggang 260 °C; ETFE kapag mas mahalaga ang chemical compatibility o mas mababang temperature range.
Pwede bang gamitin muli ang ferrule?
Ang naka-compress na ferrule ay permanenteng deformed. Hindi inirerekomenda ang muling paggamit sa mga analytical system dahil ang leak o dead volume ay makakasira sa resulta.
