UV dose is a physical quantity — irradiance × time — validated by bioassay. This tool turns your permit into a design dose, corrects for water quality (UVT), and estimates the power and lamp count for budgeting. Final lamp counts come from a vendor's validated dose-delivery curves — this sheet makes every vendor bid against the same basis.

Method. Design dose from permit (30 mJ/cm² municipal floor or reuse escalation), UVT-corrected energy basis e = 0.03 kWh/m³ × (D/30) × UVT_factor, power = e × Q_peak, lamp count = power ÷ per-lamp electrical input. Energy band and UVT factors per [3][4]. Results for screening and budgeting only.
